A big thank you to the NNEA members who joined us at Tuesday evening’s Newport News City Council meeting in support of collective bargaining rights for NNPS employees and for Newport News city workers, despite the inclement weather day.

Two NNEA members in #Red4Ed spoke during public comments in support of collective bargaining, which is also known as contract negotiations (minute marks 39:40 and 46:51). Also, thank you to a community member in #Red4Ed who spoke in support at minute mark 43:00.

Council meetings are at 7 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, usually at City Hall (2400 Washington Avenue, 23607) but sometimes at other locations. (You can check the calendar here.)
