| A 10% raise for all WJCC School employees is still attainable, but it will take teachers, parents, and the community working together.Join us on Tuesday, March 14th at the James City Board of Supervisors Meeting at 101 Mount Bay Road. RSVP Here WJCC Schools has a large shortfall in the 2023-2024 budget and we need the James City County Board of Supervisors to step up to meet the needs of our schools. As of the February Regular School Board meeting, WJCC needs an additional $8.5 million dollars in the FY2024 operating budget to fund a 9.9% increase in employee health insurance costs, an addition of full-time instructional positions to sustain a high-quality education, and a 10% raise to retain and attract our education professionals. The more James City County fails to fund WJCC schools’ shortfall, the more sacrifices to the quality of our students’ education will be needed at a time when WJCC schools are facing unprecedented challenges. We must send a clear message to the James City County Board of Supervisors that our students deserve every dollar! Click here to send an email to the James City County Board of Supervisors! |
